Undergraduate Thesis

As a graduation requirement for Ashland University's undergraduate creative writing program, students are required to complete a capstone "thesis" in a genre of the student's choice.  The end result is for the student to have a polished body of work that can be then used as a professional writing sample, for graduate school applications, or to be further revised and prepared for publication.

For my thesis, I wrote a memoir reflecting on my time in my college sorority, but also contextualized my experience and the significance of this time within the undergraduate college environment.  The memoir also goes into the history of sorority life and gives the reader a sense of the sorority and fraternity community that is not often portrayed in popular culture.
